Trusting the Right Man A Sweet Mountain Romance Kings Grove edition by DL Stewart Sweet Heart Books Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

  • I just could not connect with the main characters in this book.. I read for probably 30 minutes, but was totally bored.. Seldom happens to me..
  • didn't download to my kindle how can I get it
  • Love the direction this books takes. Many of the scenarios fit well into real life situations. The main female lead is known as 'Mike'. She is a single mother who has a lot to deal with, including her abusive and entitled Ex. She has a lot of fears to overcome, some rightfully and others more emotionally. When it comes to her ex, her job and maintaining support of her son, it seems the deck is stacked against her.

The main male character, Chance Porter, has his own demons to conquer. He has grieved the loss of his fiancee, Rebecca, for two loooong years. How she is 'lost' is revealed little by little. But regardless of the how and why, Chance suffers from it. He has kept her a secret from family and friends, no one is there to help hm heal..... until he meets Mike (Michaela).

Together, he and Mike tackle their losses and little by little learn to live life again. And, there's an eight year old boy who will grab your heart. He sure got to Chance and played a big role in this book.

Please don't be stalled by the book's slow start. It is needed to set the scene for future chapters.

Some of the paragraphs are a little too wordy and ramble on with descriptions. Didn't need all the extra detail. The book didn't need it. I wanted to skip them and get to the main event.

I give it 4 1/2 stars for how the book relates to realism.

  • Michaela “Mike” Grayson is told she needs to land a big contract to compete with her abusive ex who just got out of white collar prison for her job with his father’s company. She also has to deal with him fighting her for custody of their son Finn. Chance Palmer wants to win a construction contract with his brother to rebuild Kings Grove Inn for the company Mike works for McLaren. With everything on the line, Mike is afraid to take a risk, but she can’t fight the attraction she feels for Chance. He is also wonderful with Finn, who loves him back. I don’t blame Mike for being scared after her relationship with her ex and everything she had to lose. Chance had to risk his heart again after he lost his finance. It was great to catch up with Miranda and Sam from the last book. This was a funny sexy romance.
  • Chance Palmer lost his fiancée Rebecca years ago but he hasn’t been able to move on. Now he’s busy with his construction company and bringing in business to keep the town going. He meets Mike, an executive he’s pitching a development to.

Mike, is Michaela, as smart, successful executive with a son, Finn.

Will Chance take a second chance at happiness with Mike?
    Recommend.

  • He was engaged to the love of his life Rebecca until she left him. Chance works and lives by himself giving no thought to ever having a relationship again until Mike also known as Michaela comes into the picture she has problems of her own.

She is a single mother working for her ex's father and she is just trying to make things good for herself and her son. Chance being a contractor she may need him for a project to save her job. Can she trust a man again with her heart after it being broke by her ex.

This is a slow burn story and I love that it was written this way because these two both needed time to get through their previous losts .

I voluntarily received an arc copy through Booksprout for my honest review.
  • Michaela has been hurt in the past so she wants no part of a relationship she just trying to raise her son and work her job. Chase has also been hurt in the past but has a contractor he sometimes works with Michaela and they both seem to be attracted but will they let down their guard and take a chance on love.

  • I enjoyed this story a lot!! It's well written with a good plot and wonderful characters. This is a nice second chance story. This is Chance's trip to happiness; he was the brother in "Loving the Wrong Brother". I am glad to read his story and realize there is more to his story than I anticipated. I like Mike (Michaela)!!! These two have past they need to get over before they can more forward as well as trust issues. I like their story!!!
